First Stop - Penang

Finally started my tour today. First Stop - Penang... Started off the trip rather suay so was quite glad I'm gonna end the day very soon.

1. Father din manage to get home in time to drive me to the airport.
2. When I reach the void deck, it started raining.
3. Almost had a heart attack when I couldn't manage to book a cab.
4. Saw leaking ceiling in Terminal 1 of our world class Changi Airport and it wasn't just one place.
5. Took a very long time to find my luggage at Penang airport and when I found it, it was wet.
6. Forgot to bring usb cable for the camera so the photos that I happily snapped of my suite could not be uploaded.
7. The words and excel are not working on my dell laptop.

At least I'm staying in a suite now. Very spacious and it's definitely the best room that I have stayed in my whole life. My senior was quite disappointed thought. Said he had better rooms last year when he came for the same job. Guess this is gonna join the suay list too... Haha

Had our meal at Gurney Place, a shopping centre about 10 to 20 mins walk from our hotel. It was kinda good place to go for a short break cos once u step out of the shopping centre u are greeted by the sea. A good blend of urban and nature. People here are friendly according to my senior and AM. Hope I won't get into too much trouble with them... Wish me luck!

P.S. I need to stop thinking. Sooner or later it's gonna affect my life. Guess it has started...

Work. Life. Balanced?

Working in peak period is somehow different from studying for exams. Indeed both requires a certain amount of effort to keep the focus away from all the temptations (Food, Play, Just the thought of not studying/working). However, at least exams do not come back to haunt you like zombies from Resident Evil. Exams are one-timers - Once finished, it's time to forget(That's for me.. Can't say for most). But jobs during peak period can provide the worst feeling of anticipation as the forthcoming coaching notes do not help to ease the piling work.

Overseas jobs are not exactly wonderful too if you are booked at the exact wrong time, say coming back to Singapore one day before the family trip and flying off straight after coming back from leave. Still feeling excited cause going to two new places without having to pay for the air tickets. Although most likely, the only places I can see would be the clients' offices and my hotel(heard should be great).

Wanted to share some of my photos but I'm using my company laptop to write this post. Guess I will be bringing along my camera to the overseas jobs and hope I have a bit of personal time to take some photos. I WILL EXTEND MY 2ND TRIP!! Muahaha...

Complaints aside, I'm still liking the job. Glad that I didn't make the wrong choice like I always did. Colleagues are nice, managers are nice, clients are... well... not bad... Anyway, was on a new job today with 3 colleagues (My first time with all of them).. Really have to admit that Jaime (pronounced as Haime, it's Filippino) is really good in his work. All the memorising and analyzing, I dare say he's one of the very very few that I have alot of admiration for throughout my life.(Hmmm.... Maybe that's why people are finding me arrogant.. Haha) So from today onwards, he would be my target in office... Not that I can catch up but will try to learn from him as much as possible... Ok off to bed now... Tomorrow will be learning Unix work program from Jaime =)

P.S. ZY and YZ, sorry I always dun have the time to meet you guys for lunch cause now is my peak. If you really consider to change jobs, by all means change ok? Dun hestitate for no good reasons. Be clear of what you want. Be decisive. Heh.
